Stroud Community Christmas Tree Festival

The Annual St Laurence Church Community Christmas Tree Festival will be held between Sunday 26th November and Sunday 3rd December 2017.
The Festival Switch-on ceremony will be on Sunday 26th November at 4:00pm with a special guest. The Festival will end with the Christmas Tree Festival Songs of Praise at 4pm on Sunday 3rd December 2016.
Following the increasingly popular festivals of previous years, we again hope to fill the Church with many decorated Christmas trees, displayed by organisations, businesses, groups or individuals from across the local area. We are keen to welcome as many local people to see the displays as possible. We need the support of local people to help us achieve the amazing spectacle.
Displaying your Tree
Individuals, groups, organisations or business can all display a Christmas tree in the Festival. Here's what you need to know
There are no prizes for displaying a tree - it is impossible to do this as all the displays are brilliant!
We don't charge admission to the Festival (except for the Lights Switch-on event), but will be asking visitors for donations towards the cost our re-ordering project
To book space for the Festival or for further details, please email Mike or Toni Lambert on

Displaying your Tree
Individuals, groups, organisations or business can all display a Christmas tree in the Festival. Here's what you need to know
- There is no charge for displaying a tree at the Festival.
- You may use a real or artificial tree - preferably between 4' and 8' high, decorated in any way you choose. Feel free to use this as an opportunity to advertise your existence in the local community by using decorations appropriate to your organisation.
- An electricity supply will be available for each tree, but we ask that flashing or musical lights are not used (or set on static/silent), as these may be distressing to some visitors.
- Please request your space by 1st November to guarantee a space. We may be able to accept bookings after this date depending on space available. We do produce a Festival programme containing all those who have displayed a tree and we can't guarantee entry if the space is booked later than this.
- The trees may be staged on Thursday 23rd November (day time and early evening), Friday 24th November (day time and early evening), all day Saturday 25th November (or early afternoon on Sunday 26th November, by prior arrangement only). Remember: your space must be booked in advance!
- The trees can be removed after the service on Sunday 3rd or during the day on Monday 4th December.
